Congratulations to those who participated in the Stake Slowpitch Softball Tournament. The game was a real nail biter of back and forth action against Highland Park. With home runs from Payson Geohagan and AJ Karim to help carry the team to a victory we cannot forget the last two innings of the game! With two outs and Canyon Lake down by 3 and runners on first and second, Justin Tulumello hits a ball over the shallow playing outfield and it rolls all the way to the fence and two runs score and Justin gets called out at home and the game is tied! The last inning both teams started with a runner on 2nd and two outs. Highland Park fails to score a run during their opportunity and now it's Canyon Lakes turn! With Justin on 2nd base and Cody Owens up to bat with 2 outs, it's a must score situation. Cody hits a backside boogie (hit to right field) that scores Justin easily and the Lakers are Champs again. What an exciting night for everyone who participated!
