Classes Offered
July 8 - August 14
"My dear brothers and sisters, the “veil o’er the earth” is continuing to burst, and one of the deep desires of my heart is for you to receive all that the Lord is ready to reveal to you. Seminary and institute will help you."
The Southwest Online Seminary program in the North America Southwest Area is in need of volunteers to teach online classes for seminary youth ages 14-18. Online Seminary provides learning experiences that are Christ-centered, scripture-based, learner-focused, and Spirit-directed that can help students deepen their conversion to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. You will teach from the standards works following the Come Follow Me schedule. Being a stake-called online instructor is a rewarding experience that includes connecting with learners online throughout the week in Canvas and in a weekly Zoom gathering.
If you are interested in being considered as a stake called online seminary teacher, please print and fill out the information on the next page. Please fill out the form and email the completed form to SouthwestOnline@ChurchofJesusChrist.org.

To learn more about how changes to Seminaries and Institutes will help gather Israel, check out this recent article from The Church News!
“We need to move: from talking and telling to engaging and inviting; from telling students where to be to meeting them where they are; from only praising the ideal to also honoring the struggle; from social activities to meaningful social interaction; from a focus on class credit and graduation to a focus on spiritual growth and becoming; from passive learners who are acted upon to active participants who are instruments of the Holy Ghost,” Webb said.
President Russell M. Nelson -

"Institute will help you remodel your home to become a sanctuary of faith—a place where the gospel of Jesus Christ is taught, learned, lived, and loved. Wherever you live, that dwelling can become a place where true disciples of Jesus Christ reside. There you can seek refuge from the storms of life and increase your love of the Lord and for each other."
President Thomas S. Monson -
“I ask you to make participation in institute a priority … I promise you that as you participate in institute and study the scriptures diligently, your power to avoid temptation and to receive direction of the Holy Ghost in all you do will be increased. Divine favor will attend those who humbly seek it.”
President Gordon B. Hinckley -
"We urge all for whom [institute] is available to take advantage of it. We do not hesitate to promise that your knowledge of the gospel will be increased, your faith will be strengthened, and you will develop wonderful associations and friendships.”
