Every ward should have a Temple & Family History Plan in place, according to Handbook guidelines found here.
Please try INDEXING! There are MANY English batches available right now, so check regularly. This is how we pay it forward AND receive promised blessings. And the 1950 US Census will be up in April 2022. It's HUGE, and it's all in English!
The following is the three-step Stake Plan:
Step 1: Love. Log in and look around FamilySearch. It’s the same login credentials as your Church account. If you don’t have one, ask a ward clerk or bishopric member for help. Learn about your ancestors, and you will begin to love them
Step 2: Share. Find a relative who need ordinances. Share the blessings of ordinances with them. You are gathering Israel!
Step 3: Invite. Help someone you love to learn how to do this work and to help. It will bless your life and your friend's, not to mention your ancestor!
On February 27, 2021, Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and Sister Patricia Holland were the featured speakers at Family Discovery Day. In case you missed it, you can watch it here.
